Legal advice and support

ATL knows that not everything in your career runs smoothly. Whether it's advice about your employment or help with problems such as accidents at work or false allegations, we will provide you with a high level of support, advice, representation and professional cover, including confidential legal assistance and personal injury protection.

You can find out more about the legal advice and support on offer in this handy guide.

You will have access to a support network that includes workplace reps and local branch officers, for any queries or concerns that you may have. Plus our member advisers and regional officials are on hand to provide you with confidential support if you are faced with an employment-related issue after you join us.

We also have an in-house team of lawyers to support you, should the need arise, and an out-of-hours helpline for you to talk about work problems outside the normal working day.

And you can always find answers to many of your queries via our online help and advice pages and publications. For financial assistance in times of illness or hardship, most ATL members can apply to the ATL Trust Fund.
