The Wales Further Education (FE) Joint Trade Unions (JTUs) have received a response from Colleges Wales to the 2014-15 pay claim submitted in May 2014.
The Colleges Wales Board "was unable to recommend an additional general increase in pay for staff in 2014/15 due to financial pressures..."
Their position is that "many staff will benefit from a pay increase of more than 1%" from their incremental progression.

ATL, along with the other JTUs, is now conducting an indicative ballot of our members working in FE to ascertain whether you would be willing to take strike action and/or action short of strike to improve the recommended offer from Colleges Wales.
Our ballot will be online, opening on Thursday 23 October 2014 and closing at noon on Friday 7 November 2014.
If you are eligible to vote, you will receive an email with a unique link to the online ballot page. No one else will be able to use your unique voting link.
If you haven't received an email with a unique voting link and you think you are eligible to vote, please email Robert Goddard, ATL Cymru Organiser or call on 029 2115 9755.
