Government publishes recommendations for teachers' pay

The government has now published the School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB) recommendations for teachers’ pay from September 2017.
The recommendations are:
  • A one per cent uplift to minimum and maximum level of the upper pay range, the leadership pay range, unqualified teachers’ pay range and the leading practitioners pay range;
  • A one per cent increase to the minimum and maximum values payable as teaching and learning responsibility payments (TLRs) and special educational needs allowances (SEN); and
  • A two per cent uplift to the minimum and maximum level of the main pay range.
