We will explore the research, practice and ideas emerging within the sector, for the sector. The event will seek to reflect the priorities for the sector and showcase innovations. These might relate to teaching and learning or student experience, for example.
What is the format?
You will hear from two keynote speakers on their current or recent research during the day and between 8-12 presenters. The presenters will pitch their research, innovation or theme for their session and participants will then select two of those sessions to attend during the day. All of the presenters are practitioners, teachers, lecturers or tutors within the post compulsory education and training sector.
Who is the event for?
We welcome staff from sixth form colleges, further education colleges, school sixth forms, academies with post-16 provision and staff from work-based learning – as participants and as presenters.
Want to present?
Great! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a proposal form and submit this for consideration by February 2018. Tell us about your research, project or innovation that you would like to present. We will notify those selected to present in March. We will then publicise all presentation themes. Everyone submitting a proposal will be invited to write an article in the follow up publication.
We are deligted to have secured two brilliant key note speakers:
Kevin Orr, Professor of Work and Learning at the Univiersity of Huddersfield
Bill Watkin, CEO of the Sixth Form Colleges Assosiation
