Every teacher is a teacher of English and every student is required to write. This interactive training event develops teachers’ skills to enable their students to write more effectively.

 

It will consider barriers to writing across the curriculum and how to ameliorate these difficulties alongside strategies to inspire and motivate the reluctant writer. Delegates will explore the process of writing and take away strategies to develop the independent writing skills of students so they can successfully demonstrate their knowledge and understanding.

 

Course Content:

 

  • Barriers to successful writing.
  • The writing process.
  • Key considerations for improving cross curricular writing.
  • Managing key word spelling difficulties.
  • Strategies to inspire and motivate writers.

 

Audience: Primary, Secondary and Further and Higher Education: SENCOs / Teachers / TA’s / SLA’s
