Workshop 1: Behaviour Management, delivered by Robin Launder. Robin is a teaching and learning consultant and behaviour expert. He is the founder of Behaviour Buddy, an organisation that provides evidenced-based CPD, and the designer of Thinking Matters UK, a programme for families with children who are at risk of permanent exclusion. He is a member of the educational think tank Learnus and sits on the executive committee of PRUsAP, the national organisation for PRUs and Alternative Provision. In the little time that’s left, Robin writes and speaks on all matters educational. He is currently writing an evidenced-based behaviour management handbook.
This session will take you through the three key elements of effective behaviour management: 1) how to avert misbehaviour, 2) how to stop it should it start, and 3) how to not let it repeat. It’s a fun, fast-paced and practical session.
Workshop 2: Liberating the Curriculum and Sleeping Well at Night, delivered by Hywell Roberts. Hywell is a travelling teacher working everywhere from Cairo to Cleethorpes. He writes regularly for the TES and his award-winning book ‘Oops! Getting Children to Learn Accidentally’ is published by Crown House Publishing. He was recently described as ‘...a world leader in enthusiasm’.
This session is a reverie on the liberation of professional imagination and the battle against cold curriculum. It will cover:

- Inductive questioning
- Reasons to be cheerful
The day will also include a FREE lunch, a session on appraisals and in addition members will have the opportunity to ask questions about any work place issues.
