Join author Clare Harvey in an art-inspired writing workshop on 14th September 5.30pm - 7.00pm at Nottingham Lakeside Arts’ Djanogly gallery.
Using the ‘Kaleidoscope’ exhibition of 1960s British Art, Clare Harvey will draw on her experience of using art to inspire writing in all age groups, from KS1 to adults.
Clare Harvey is an award winning historical novelist with an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Nottingham. Prior to the publication of her debut novel, The Gunner Girl, in 2015, Clare co-managed the Lakeside Literacy Project, which helped UoN English students run creative writing sessions for local city school children in the Djanogly Gallery, using the exhibitions as inspiration. Clare has also given creative writing workshops for the University of Nottingham, Writing East Midlands, Mansfield Partnership, Derby Writers’ Day and Derby Book Festival. Her current novel, The Night Raid, is out now in hardback.
